Benny F Jones

Jones, Benny of Dittmer, Missouri, was born March 29, 1941 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to Hanson and Maxine (nee Bramel) Jones and entered into rest Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in Dittmer, Missouri at the age of 83 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hanson and Maxine (nee Bramel) Jones; siblings, Beulah Bauer, Hanson Jr. Jones, and Debbie Beckett; siblings-in-law, Carl Bauer, Rodney Beckett, Lowell Mason, and Danny Strausbaugh; mother-in-law, Oraine Strausbaugh. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda (nee Ramsey) Jones; children, Vincent (Mary) Jones, Angela (Mickey) Downing; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Redmann, Tyler (Sarah) Jones, Claire (Eric) Lequia, 1st LT Mitch Jones, Venessa (Kurt) Ellermann, Nicole Schmitt, and Eric (Mary) Downing; great-grandchildren, Aiden Downing, Hunter Ellermann, Haley Ellermann, Riley Loyd, Olivia Downing, Alice Downing, Ryan Redmann, Molly Redmann, Rosemary Lequia; siblings, Judy Mason, Karen Sipp, Donna Elfers, Vicky (Larry) Eubanks, and Jeff (Karen) Jones; brother-in-law, Rick Strausbaugh; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Benny achieved a Bachelor of Science from Tarkio College and worked at McDonnell Douglas for 31 years before retiring. He built three homes in his lifetime, including the home he resided in. He also built a cabin at High Hill Christian Camp and a bridge in New Mexico Church Camp. He was talented in many fields of antiques, cars, and a craftsman in several areas. He enjoyed woodworking and made many cabinets including a black walnut cabinet for Mickey and Angela, a cradle for all of Vince and Mary’s children and grandchildren. He designed and built many toys including a rocking dog and was so proud to restore, build and run his ice cream machine. Linda was always by his side to paint, stain, and to hold the boards. Linda, his forever love, and his family were his greatest achievements! Benny's legacy resonates in his pursuit of excellence, his unwavering commitment to helping others, and his profound reverence for God. Though he has left this earthly realm, Benny's spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the love he shared. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO.
